What do you understand by trust? I mean, what does trust mean to you?
I will leave you to figure that out for yourself; but I want you to know that trust means different things to different people, and it is contextual.
Trust comes in different forms.
Trust is believing in God.
Trust is believing in yourself.
Trust is believing in a person.
Trust is vouching for someone.
Trust is opening up to a person; comfortably being vulnerable around them.
Trust is believing that a person would understand your perspective and handle the situation appropriately.
Trust is the assurance and conviction that a person cannot not come through (for you or any other person when needed/necessary).
Trust is telling me to do better because you believe in me or because you would support me as much as you can.
Trust is giving a person information that can make or destroy you, because someone has to know, and that can’t just be any random person.
Trust (self-trust)is knowing that you can be in a compromising place or with someone/people without being negatively influenced.
Trust is being certain that your parents, siblings, children, friends, or relatives can be mad at you and at the same time still love and care about you.
Trust is when someone is disappointed by your performance but still vouches for you because they know that there could be some factors that led to your failure/poor performance (even without you having to explain).
Trust is seeing your partner comfortable, laughing, and spending time and having fun with another person of the opposite gender, and still being certain that there is absolutely nothing concerning or funny going on between them.
Trust (trusting God) is surrendering everything to God, because you can’t do anything on your own without His help and grace.
Trust (self-trust/self-confidence) is being confident that you can’t fail, but even if you do, it would only be to learn, get better, become stronger, and become successful.
Trust is believing what a person tells you without going through the processes of confirming the information.
Trust is being confident that you’ll have your testimonies someday.
Trust is knowing that you will have a healthy relationship and marry right someday.
Trust is different to different people, it means different things to different people; it varies, and it is contextual.
What does trust mean to you?
According to Joyce Brothers; “The best proof of love is trust.”
She was right.
Without trust, a relationship (family, friendship, romantic, acquaintanceship) is on a shaky foundation.
How do you build trust?
By being consistently reliable and by having good and effective communication as much as necessary/possible.
I trust you understand.
Can you be trusted?
Do you trust anyone?
